Fertility Treatments
You will be able to counsel with highly-trained specialists in order to choose the best treatment option for you. Monitoring menstrual cycles and timing natural intercourse are typically where fertility treatment begins. If ovulation is not regular then drugs may be used in the early part of the cycle to help make ovulation more reliable. The chance of conception is higher if more eggs are produced, therefore an ovarian stimulation protocol may be used. Each patient's prescription is carefully personalized depending on age and cause of infertility.
More complicated causes of infertility merit Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). "Assisted Reproduction" embraces all types of treatment involving the preparation of gametes, either sperm or oocytes, to promote fertility. The main techniques of ART include in vitro fertilization (IVF), gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT), zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
